School is fun!

A super fun part of creating children's books is actually reading them in front of an audience of children. I love visiting schools especially when author and poet, Susan Bernardo joins me. Our engaging Power Point presentations get the kids thinking about where ideas originate and how you can grow those ideas into something bigger. We emphasize the importance of research, revision and collaboration. Having authors and illustrators visit schools is a powerful way to connect kids with literature and bring classroom learning to life.
